FAD,
Trend and Classic fashion
A FAD is an intense but short-termed fashion craze.
A trend is the current style that is in
fashion, this stays around longer then a FAD.
A classic style is formal, refined, restrained
and elegant.
Information on The Fashion
Translator says that FADs are designed for young slim women. A couple of examples
of these FADs are:
Jumpsuits, these are great for slim ladies
especially if you are tall and slim, if not they probably aren’t your best
choice in clothing but hey whose going to stop you?
The TV series 90210 features many jumpsuits for a short time
on none other than tall slim ladies.
Another trend on The Fashion
Translator is Cargo Pants.
These are also great for those
tall slim ladies. Although they are always in for the outdoorsy type they are
not in for long on the catwalk.

Jumpsuits were around in the days of the hippies and appeared
as something like this. Modern jumpsuits are a lot less busy
and give off a more elegant look as shown.
Short tummy showing tops have
been around before when Madonna wore it in the 80’s. Once again it has been modernized
and even sexier. They may as well be called bras but no the correct term is bra
tops, so stylish, so sexy, and so modern.
The
classic le smoking suits for women have been around for a while. They have also
become sexier then before, as time goes on women are showing more and more skin
along with it. Not only a suit but a dress suit aswell by designer Yves Saint Laurent
1966
Both midriffs or bra tops and
le smoking appeared on TV first. With Madonna being a huge fashion influence there’s
no wonder this became a fashion trend from the TV to the streets. Also when
women saw women dress formal and in power on TV series they were influenced
into doing the same therefore this fashion was also trickled down from TV to
the streets. Jumpsuits on the other hand where from the street to the catwalk
therefore being a bubble up effect.

I put these in this order because all I read about in the 80’s
were how big MTV was for fashion influence with TV series and movies not far
behind. Also now days people are keeping a watch on how celebrities dress, looking
in magazines and the internet for the latest fashion. This is my own opinion on
how fashion is influenced the most.
I think not long until
coloured jeans are everywhere in pretty much every bright colour out there.
